One of the best articles I've read about how the iPad might change books. It's interesting because it looks at how the information design might change once we rethink our traditional print based design thinking.
Although I do not agree some of his conclusions. This is still an excellent read.

My view on Apple's iPad in education - Good first attempt but didn't read the question.
Yes. I'm sure coming out with massive dept is exactly what students want.
I find it wrong that when Universities were predominantly full of the middle class the country could afford grants, fees (and even housing benefit). But as more working class kids are given the chance to go to Uni, they now have to be saddled with a level of dept that they will be paying of for many years to come.
We were recently discussing in our office appropriate adjustments that can be made to make the curriculum accessible to students with a disability. In some subject areas it may always be inappropriate to make adjustments for certain disabilities. But one area that can be very accommodating is the arts, as this example above shows.
Nothing new in this video. Multimedia developers were doing this in the 90s with CD-ROMs. But it's interesting that publishers seems to be embracing Apple's tablet (and no doubt iTunes publishing model). Apple's Tablet may finally achieve the potential in educaiton Microsoft's TabletPC system failed to reach.
